Round 13 Preview Perth vs East Perth
This week Perth travel to Medibank Stadium to take on East Perth.
Both teams had a bye last weekend with the State Game between Western Australia and Tasmania being played.
The Demons Clinton Jones and the Royals Paul Johnson were their team’s sole representatives for WA.
Back in round 12 a dominant second half from Perth saw them run out 54-point winners against Swan Districts while East Perth went down to bitter rivals West Perth by 31 points.
The Royals have won the last eight games against the Demons by an average winning margin of 53 points. Perth’s last victory over East Perth was back in round seven, 2013 when they won by 51 points.
In the reserves the Demons lost a nail bitter, going down to Swans by 1-point while the Royals defeated the Falcons by 63 points.
Kurtis Chester (29 possessions, seven marks, four tackles, six I50’s), Ashley Boyes (27 disposals, six marks) and Todd Stevenson (25 possessions, eight marks, seven hitouts) all played well in the reserves and could play league football for Perth this weekend.
Five Eagles listed players played reserves for East Perth against West Perth. They were Brant Colledge, Matthew Allen, Jordan Snadden, Jamie Bennell and Luke Partington and are all a chance to line up against the Demons on Saturday.
Perth lost their first game of the season in the colts going down to Swan Districts by 4-points but still remain one game clear on top of the ladder.
The Royals defeated the Falcons by 51-points in the colts to remain fifth on the ladder.
Bounce down is 2:15pm, following Reserves at 11:30am and Colts at 9:00am.
