Dennis receives 'Beyond Blue Award'

In the post-match Round 12 awards, Lachlan Dennis will be presented with the 'Beyond Blue Award.'

The Beyond Blue Round is about raising awareness for mental health and creating an opportunity for people to spark conversations about the problems they may be facing in their daily lives. The ‘Beyond Blue’ player award is voted on by their peers. This player has to be supportive of team mates, coaches, and support staff and promote inclusivity of everyone while actively being involved within club.

Dennis brings traits of respect, willingness, and teamwork that not only embellish who he is on the oval but who he is in his professional career as a policeman. Dennis’s career as a policeman have enhanced those qualities that have allowed him to become the man he is today. Those attributes are shown in his preparation for the game through his commitment to the gym and willingness to do whatever is needed to improve the team. 

Dennis is well deserving of this award due to his leadership role on the team and his impact in the community as a whole. Since joining the team in 2015, Lachlan has become more and more prevalent as a leader year in and year out. This year he was voted into the Perth Football Clubs leadership group.
