Friday, October 4, 2019 - 10:59 AM

Clint Jones has annoucned that the 2019 WAFL Season will be his last of WAFL Football.

CJ has been a great servant to the Perth Football Club over his four years and 75 games with us. He will be sorely missed, both on and off the field.

His remarkably decorated career in both the AFL and WAFL has earned him the reputation as one of the great contributors to football. At 35 years of age, CJ has decided it is time to hang up the boots and focus on family and career.

Clint has issued a statement to be released to the Club’s members, players, supporters and partners.

“Thank you to the Perth Football Club for providing me with the opportunity to play here for the final years of my career.

Over these four years, I have seen the club grow and a group of driven players be developed.

It has been a great place for me to be over the last few years. I know the club is on the verge of something good moving forward and achieving results consistently will happen.

To our loyal supporters – thank you for being there week in, week out.

Earl and Marty – you guys have been tirelessly driving the club in some exciting directions and I look forward to seeing what comes of the foundation that have been laid.

To Yeoy and the leadership group – I know the boys are in good hands with you all.

I would like to finish by again saying thank you to the Perth Football Club for your support over my time here. ”

CJ, you have left your mark on the Perth Football Club. On behalf of the playing group, members, partners, supporters and Board of Directors – thank you.
