CLINT JONES: 2019 Butcher Medallist

Saturday, October 5, 2019 - 11:00 PM

Tonight the Perth Football Club hosted the Butcher Medal Awards.

The Butcher Medal is the highest award presented to a Perth Football Club player, with the Greg Brehaut Medal being awarded to the Reserves player voted best and fairest.

Voting for the Butcher and Greg Brehaut Medals was determined by coaches dividing into pairs, with each pair then allocating each player a score of 0-5 for their performance. The votes were added together for each player.  The maximum votes per game was out of 10.

Each week the coaching pairs were changed to ensure a degree of diversity in the voting.

The 2019 Butcher Medal has been awarded to Clint Jones. In his final season of WAFL football, this honour is befitting of such a legend.

This is the second time CJ has taken home the Butcher Medal in his four seasons with the club.
