Tuesday, December 3, 2013 - 5:56 PM

South Perth Junior Football Club, situated at Ernest Johnston Reserve, is a well governed Club. This fact has been born out by their receiving over $1500 in value of equipment to boost their coaching programs in 2014.

South Perth Junior Football Club attained a Gold status in the quality Club in 2010 and has recently reviewed its practises so as to be reaccredited. Newly elected club President Mr John Carter said that ‘the club underwent the process of ensuring that it had sound policies and practises so that the committee could be guided in running the club in a manner which is of benefit to all’.

‘Some of the great equipment we received include; a tackling and jump bag, 5 quality footballs, markers, 24 training vests, a huge coaches whiteboard and a variety of fitness equipment’, said Mr Carter.

The WAFC Swisse Quality Club Program assists football clubs in creating quality environments so as to attract and retain players and their families, to attract sponsors and to reduce risk to your local committee.

Mr Scott Faulkner, District Manager for the Perth District said that ‘Ultimately, the benefit of being involved in this program is to create a better club! Resources and support are readily available on the WAFC website, and support can be provided out of the District Office. For those clubs embarked on gaining their accreditation there is an initial level of Bronze which with some effort clubs can move on to Silver and then Gold’, Mr Faulkner stated.
