Multicultural Breakfast A Success

Tuesday, July 29, 2014 - 5:34 PM

Last Thursday the WAFC hosted the annual multicultural round breakfast at Pattersons Stadium.

The Demons District staff and stakeholders from Lynwood FC, Australian Islamic School and Queens Park JFC joined us for a great morning.  The event was hosted by game Development Manager Warren Nel and included a Q&A session with West Coast Eagles Superstar and Multicultural Ambassador Nic Naitanui, Richmond FC’s Bachar Houli and the WAFC's own Multicultural officer Paul Mugambwa.

10 new Australians were inducted as citizens as part of the event.  After the breakfast the Demons District was lucky enough to have our two Australian Islamic Colleges partake in a skills and photo session with both Nic and Bachar.  The kids got to run some drills, talk with and ask questions of the players about their life and how they made it in footy.  The schools were then allowed to watch the Eagles train prior to their big game against Richmond in a private session.

A big thanks to Desmond and Nuria for organising the kids to come down for a once in a lifetime experiences
