Sadly former player Doug Simms passed away recently after a long illness. Doug represented the Club in excess of 90 League matches after winning the Reserves Fairest & Best award in 1976. He was a prodigious left-foot kick, playing mainly across half-forward and topping the League goal-kicking list with 50 in 1981.

Red hot Demons outmuscle their rivals

A career-best haul of five goals from key forward Spencer White set the Demons up for their best win of the season of the weekend against rivals Swan Districts.

 

White, who has had an injury interrupted season of just nine games, dominated in the first half kicking two majors in the first term and a further three in the second.

 

The St. Kilda recruit also pulled in five marks and showed his true ability on a muddy Bassendean Oval.

Sharks’ second half too strong for Demons

EAST Fremantle’s four goal blitz midway through the third term proved pivotal in their win over Perth on Saturday afternoon, with the Demons going down by __ points.

 

The Sharks opened the game up in the third after leading at half-time by sixteen points. After Perth kicked the first goal of the third term at the eighth minute mark through Marshall Jones, the Sharks got a run on kicking ten of the last fourteen goals of the game.

 

The Demons were without key personnel for their clash with the Sharks, with reigning Sandover medallist Aidan Tropiano missing through illness and key defender Brent Latch nursing a leg injury.

Demons Boys Represent at the State Schoolboys National Competition in QLD

Mitch McLleney (Manning Rippers), Deven Robertson (Manning Rippers), Lachlan Fraser (Willetton Blues) and Jack Bird (South Perth Stingrays) all members of the Perth Demons Football Development Program recently represented Western Australia at the National School Sport Australia AFL 15s Championships in Maroochydore, Queensland.

 

WA finished 3rd, defeating QLD in the playoff for bronze following a week of preliminary games against Tasmania, Northern Territory, Queensland and Victoria.

Round 20 Preview Perth vs South Fremantle

Clinical Falcons brush past Demons at Joondalup

WEST Perth’s clinical ball movement on Saturday afternoon saw them prevail in blustery conditions over Perth by 46 points at HBF Arena.
