Perth Finalises Redevelopment Funding

Monday, December 14, 2020 - 2:44 PM

The Perth Football Club has taken its final step to redeveloping their headquarters in Lathlain into the best facility in the WAFL, with the State Government committing $4 million to the building of a new football and community hub.

Perth Football Club President Bob Shields said news of the WA Government $4 million for Perth’s new Headquarters is a proud moment for the Club. Claiming that it reinforced Perth were a club on the rise after they broke their record 22-year finals drought this season, He said the landmark building at Mineral Resources Park would complete the redevelopment of the Lathlain precinct.

We are much more than a Football Club, we now are a Community Hub. Two Directors are specifically tasked with taking the Clubs outreach into our Community.

Perth will play at the ground in 2021 before their ageing headquarters is demolished at the end of the season to allow work to start on the multi-million dollar revamp.

The West Coast Eagles will contribute $1 million to the redevelopment and the Town of Victoria Park will fund any shortfall.
