Football Update
The Senior squad participated in an intraclub scratch match on Saturday at Mineral Resources Park in readiness for 3 consecutive interclub games in coming weeks. The coaches were really pleased with the intensity shown by all players and the execution of how we want to play. Many senior players did not participate, providing an opportunity for the new faces to play and impress the coaching staff.
Jaiden Hunter showed the benefits of a solid preseason, as did new arrivals to the club in Chappy Jones, Todd Kenny and Kane Johnston. It was great to see Magic Bennell back in Demon colours and he too showed some of his old traits. New ruck recruit Ajang Ajang went head to head against Dakota Baldwin-Wright, and both showed the benefits of a strong preseason. Our midfielders certainly won't be starved of opportunities this season with these two big blokes progressing the way they are.
We look forward to building on this performance against Peel Thunder this Saturday down in Mandurah.
The Reserves game starts at 1.40pm and League at 4.10pm
