Arthur Ransted has been awarded WAFL Life Membership at the Sandover Medal

Arthur Ransted has served Perth Football Club non-stop since 1965 when he started as a boot studder.

With the evolvement of boots not requiring his service, Arthur’s role moved to Property Manager, a position he still holds today.

His role is one of immense dedication at all levels – Colts, Reserves and League.

He is up before dawn to hit the road with players for away games and doesn’t finish until well after the usual League game is finished. A marathon day he has worked for 57 years.

He washes and sorts all of the uniforms directly after each game, tallying to over 60 uniforms a week during the season and attends all training sessions to ensure footballs are adequate for use.

Arthur was awarded Life Membership with Perth Football Club in 1986.

In 2000 he received the Australian Sports Medal for outstanding achievement and most recently, a Certificate of Appreciation from the Minister for Volunteering.
