Perth Demons NAIDOC Week Design A Boot Competition

Thursday, July 17, 2014 - 4:12 PM

As part of NAIDOC Week Celebrations this year, Perth hosted South Fremantle at Lathlain Park, this game is also known as the Cable-Michael Cup (with Belmont Forum again being Match Day Sponsor) which is also in recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island Culture and the many talented Aboriginal footballers past and present that play our great game.

As part of this event children from our District Schools were invited to participate in a NAIDOC themed Design A Boot Competition.  The winning entry was from Brylie Jones from Beckenham Primary School.  Her winning entry won her a $100 voucher kindly donated by Belmont Forum as well as had her winning design painted by talented artist Jasmine Fitzgerald on a pair of white football boots kindly donated by The Athletes Foot Belmont.  Belmont Forum also kindly donated $20 vouchers for five outstanding runner up entries.

The Perth Football Club would like to thank all the kids for their amazing entries as well as Belmont Forum and Athletes Foot for their continued support.
