Round 17 Preview Perth V East Perth
Round 17 sees Perth taking on East Perth at Medibank Stadium.
Last week the Demons were disappointing losing to West Perth by 49-points while the Royals were gallant against Subiaco going down by 23-points.
These sides met back in round six this season and it was a day that Perth supporters would rather forget, with their team going down by 103-points.
East Perth has won eight of the last ten fixtures between these two teams with an average winning margin of 53-points. The Demons last victory against the Royals was back in round seven, 2013 when they won by 51-points.
East Perth has the fourth best attack in the competition with 1134 points for and has the fourth best defence, only conceding 1085 points against. With the ladder being as close as it is this only has them in seventh position, two spots above the bottom placed Perth. The Demons like their position on the ladder states are ninth for points for with 888 and ninth for points against with 1463.
Perth (reserves) last week lost to West Perth (reserves) by 51-points while East Perth (reserves) defeated Subiaco (reserves) by 26-points.
Last time these two teams met, the Demons won by 62-points. Perth is sixth on the ladder while the Royals are one spot above them in fifth position.
Perth (colts) recorded a much needed 46-point victory against West Perth (colts) last week while East Perth (colts) lost to Subiaco (colts) by 19-points.
When these two teams met back in round six, the Demons recorded a 40-point victory. Perth is seventh on the ladder, two games clear of the eighth placed Royals.
The colts kick things off at 9am on Saturday with the reserves playing at 11:30am and the league team rounding out proceedings at 2:15pm.
