ROUND 4 in the Optus WAFL Premiership Season saw teams make some statements with the top four breaking away from the pack but there were no shortage of standout individual performers either.

Perth's Michael Sinclair, Kieran Delahunty and Matt Rogers were named in the WAFL Team of rOund 4.

Australia’s oldest football trophy has returned to the WAFL

The Dixson Cup will become the official WAFL Premiership Cup from this year onwards, celebrating the rich history and past of football in Western Australia.

Inaugurated in 1885, the cup was awarded to the Premiers of the West Australian Football Associated (now the WAFL) for the first five years before spending more than 100 years in private ownership.
