Swan Districts continued their push towards this years finals series with a comfortable 62 point win over Perth at Steel Blue Oval on Saturday.
Kicking with the advantage of the breeze in the first term the Black and Whites were on the board early through the dangerous Tim Geappen. Swans were full of run early on and had 4 goals on the board before Perth had even scored.
Finally the Phoenix Demons brought up their first major through Simon Horner, who converted from a set shot. The home side led well by the tough Josh Roberts were on top all over the ground and scoring goals at will.
Perth did manage a late goal from the crumbing Dene White, who led his side out in his 50th game. At quarter time Swans after a great first term led 8 goals 5 to 2 goals 2.
The second term was much of the same for Perth as they simply had no match in defence for Geappen and the size and bulk of Ashley Hansen. Some good team football saw Horner bring up another goal for the visitors and this was soon followed by youngster Matthew Rogers
