Round 19 Preview Perth vs West Perth
Perth travel to HBF Arena this week to take on West Perth who is coming off the bye.
Last week the Demons lost to Peel Thunder by 11-points. After conceding the first five goals of the game, Perth toiled away for the rest of the match but it wasn't enough. In their last game before the bye an inaccurate Falcons went down to East Perth by 13 points.
In the reserves Perth won by 106-points with Jacob Payne (31 possessions, 6 I50’s, one goal), Fraser Millar (30 disposals, eight marks, one goal), Kurtis Chester (30 possessions, five marks, four I50’s, two goals), Taran Etto (28 disposals, five marks, three tackles), Mitchell Browne (26 possessions, 13 marks, four I50’s, one goal) and Corey Byrne (25 disposals, seven marks, four tackles, nine I50’s, two goals) all playing well and could possibly be in line for a league call up to face the West Perth.
The Falcons had a win over the Royals by 21-points a fortnight ago with Alexander Coe (30 possessions, three marks, five tackles, seven I50’s), Seva Mozhaev (10 disposals, five marks, 20 hitouts, three goals) and Keegan Knott (20 possessions, four marks, three goals) all doing their chances of a league call up no harm.
In the colts the Demons won their thirteenth game of the season, defeating the Thunder by 12-points while West Perth went down to East Perth by 15 points.
This weekend will also see Clint Jones play his 100th game of WAFL football. In a league career that has spanned 15 seasons Jones has accumulated 149 games of AFL experience, 41 VFL games and three State appearances.
Bounce down is 2:15pm, following Reserves at 11:30am and Colts at 9:00am.
