Crushing news for Belly
The Perth Football Club is devastated to announce that Jared Bell has ruptured his left anterior crucial ligament for the third time.
After meeting with the Club and medical staff, Jared has decided he will be taking the next few weeks to consider all of his options.
“It’s very disappointing news, but there’s not much that can be done about it now,” Jared stated. “I have uni exams coming up, so I'll spend the next few weeks focussing on my studies, then will have a sit down to completely go through all my options.”
Belly first damaged his knee in 2016, before requiring a second reconstruction just one year later. He had been in great form so far this season.
“We’re all devastated for Jared, but he is remaining upbeat which is testament to his character. This happening after he has worked so hard to come back is such a shame,” Football Operations Manager, Dale Ballantyne, commented.
Belly will be missed on-field, but will still be around the Club in his role as Sponsorship Administrator.
